So I am currently graded from BCIT in digital animation. My final night and birthday intertwined into one hell of a fun night that resulted in me falling out of a tree. Goodtimes, many thanks to the oodles of friends who made it out and put up with my abscence in the past year due to 3D work. No sooner had I finished then did my bar snatch me up for full time work. It's good to be wanted. What's really great is the number of 2D art requests I'm getting right now, from paintings to tattoos and even a band logo. I have really high hopes for a four part series (a quadtrych?) based upon the seasons which I am really quite happy with so far. So -gasp- get ready to see some more landscapes from me. I normally seldom do landscapes due to the fact that it feels like I'm doing a background and setting the stage, but then have no actors. I am also quite biased thanks to Mr. Francis Bacon in my view of great art celebrating humanity, seeing as though we are the vainist creatures to ever exist. So this series will be a testament to the power of how people I like can inspire me.

 

PS I just saw the Picasso exhibition at VAG, and now actually quite like him (surprise, I actually wasn't all to fond of Picasso before). Highly recomended exhibition. The Rodin exhibit there was also breathtaking. And yes, I will eventually grow up and get my 3D polished in the next couple of weeks.
